Seven Days a Week is an exploration of a typical family home through fourteen conceptual photographs. This series explores how much the current state of the world is having an effect on family life in the home. Each image shows a common space from a North American home -- ranging from the sitting room to the kitchen, bathroom, etc. Each of these areas are then “dressed”, using newspapers that were released over the months of September, October, and November, 2017. The news often portrays the worst aspects of the world, but increasingly also presents fake or misleading content. How does it affect the average person? This is a question Seven Days a Week considers. As a series of images, Seven Days a Week is a meditation on the news entering our home, but also prompts readers to consider the value, purpose, and psychological affect of the news we let into our lives.
